What did you do last week? Me? I spent my week eating my way through Carmel, Indiana. I flew up to Carmel last Wednesday for work. My co-workers on my team work remotely from several different locations around the U.S. so we all gathered in Indy this past week to come together to share ideas. Well, that and eat!
Eating my way through Carmel | Day 1
Upon arrival to the office on Wednesday, the Indy office took us to lunch at a spot called Burgerhaus. Eating my way through Carmel Day 1 had officially started. I would say it was a solid start to the gold medal of eating my way through Carmel, Indiana.
I started off with a nice Chocolate Peanut Butter Milk stout. I think it was called Puppy chow. It was the perfect accompaniment to the Tuscan burger and truffle fries I had for lunch. Lunch really was delicious. I would definitely recommend Burgerhaus. If you can’t find a beef, chicken, or turkey burger of your liking then you are not looking hard enough.
The ambiance of Burgerhaus was really neat too. I loved the vintage reproducation lighting.
I am not sure why they didn’t let us take naps after that lunch, but there were no naps taken. Seems like a missed opportunity, perhaps? I did manage to get a little work done before the next meal. I guess we all had flown to Indy to work, but really work was a struggle with a satisfied and full stomach.
After normal business hours we had a meeting where they fed us Noble Romans pizza, pasta, salad, and breadsticks. If you know me at all, you know pizza is speaking my language. I did not get any pictures of dinner, but I can tell you I definitely did not go to bed hungry.
