Happy Throwback Thursday, friends! I hope everyone is enjoying some lovely spring weather finally (despite the high pollen count). I thought the groundhog had lied this year and we were doomed for an endless winter. In honor of spring I wanted to share with you one of my very first Atlanta adventures, exploring Atlanta Botanical Garden. I adventured out with my mom and my niece. It was a lovely morning spent taking in all of the pretty greenery. From the moment you walk up to the entry you just stand in awe of the magnificence and utter beauty of the gardens. You can hear the birds chirping and singing their song. You completely forget that you are actually in Midtown Atlanta.
There is literally beauty and awe with every turn. From birds to butterflies nature in its full glory. Who says you can’t enjoy nature in the city!
Once upon a botanical garden, I stumbled upon this handsome creature. I thought I had found my frog prince. Imagine the disappointment when I realized it was only a statue. The horror! In all seriousness though there were all sorts of fun all around the gardens like this frog statue (pictured above) and the snake sidewalk (below).
Exploring Atlanta Botanical Garden can be fun for kids of all ages. They have a cool kids area with a water station. They also have a story time. My niece enjoyed the gardens too.
You just really never know what you may find in the gardens. Guess what I happen to find on this trip? I found David the Gnome. Does anyone else remember that wonderful kids show on Nickelodeon? Oh dear! I just completely dated myself. None the less, I found where the gnomes hang out.
Magical beauty everywhere you turn. It was seriously amazing to just simply walk through the gardens and take in all of the beauty.
I saved the best for last…
My favorite part of this adventure was the majestic shrubbery display. It was simply amazing to see all of it in person.
Can you imagine what Christmas lights would be here? They have a display of magical lights each year. Unfortunately, I did not make it last year, but I am making sure I go this year.
We had a fantastic adventure exploring Atlanta Botanical Garden! Fun was certainly had by all!
